So, we have these friends, the Dettmers. They are AWESOME! We love to hang out with them. They are a German family of 5 (3 kids). Joerg use to be the Bishop of our ward and Ann-Christin is the Stake Primary President. We always have so much fun with them. The first time we went to this park it was May 1st. That is a German holiday and everyone goes walking on the trails, so we met at this park, played for a little bit then walked the trails. (I'd have pics to show but I forgot my camera and neither Joerg or Maren have sent me their pics...hint, hint).
On this day we just played and played and got LOTS of sun. The adults that you see here are Yoerg, Ann-Christin in the back with the short, dark hair, Maren Stafford with the long hair held back with a bandana and Carissa Brooks.

Jakob is the small one in the red. They are playing soccer. The other boys are Stafford and Dettmer boys. Jakob loves to play any type of sport. The only problem is that he's always the smallest and youngest and doesn't know how to play much, yet. At one point one of the boys (not shown here) told Jakob he couldn't play because he wasn't good at it. Kind of made me sad, but I totally understand! Below is Jakob learning how to kick the ball into the net. Now you can see why I understood that boy, Jakob just needs to learn how to play :)

how fun that your little one loves sports!!!
Unfortunately those are all Stafford boys in the picture....which means it was more than likely a Stafford boy that wasn't being so nice...We'll have to work on that one. Jake! Next time just punch'em in the eye! Like mine do! Then take the ball and go for it!
